Giving Tuesday is a special day of the year when people just like you from across the country and around the world come together to support some of their favorite nonprofits and causes. To participate, all you have to do is support a nonprofit or cause you believe in. It’s that easy!
But to make even more of an impact on Giving Tuesday, we encourage those who believe in the work we do at the Mission to use Giving Tuesday to schedule their gift for Colorado Gives Day®.
What Is Colorado Gives Day®?
Colorado Gives Day® is a special, local effort where thousands of Coloradans partner with nonprofits across our state. To sweeten the deal, there’s a $1 Million Incentive Fund made possible by Community First Foundation, FirstBank and other community members to boost the value of every single donation.
Here’s How It Works:
- If a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day®, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1 Million Incentive Fund.
- At the completion of Colorado Gives Day®, the Community First Foundation will determine each nonprofit’s proportionate share of the incentive fund by dividing the total amount each nonprofit raised by the total amount of money donated to all participating nonprofits. This amount is then multiplied by the total amount of dollars in the Incentive Fund.
So more donations for the Mission on Colorado Gives Day® means more of the $1 Million Incentive Fund the Mission will receive.
How Can I Participate Today?
Participating in Colorado Gives Day® is easy! Simply visit the Mission’s profile on the Colorado Gives site and click “Donate” to get started.
How Do I Support Fort Collins Rescue Mission?
Fort Collins Rescue Mission operates under the same 501(c)(3) as Denver Rescue Mission. As a result, Community First Foundation only lists Denver Rescue Mission as a full profile.
You can specifically designate your donation toward Fort Collins Rescue Mission on the Mission’s Colorado Gives donation page, under the field labeled “Where do you want your donation directed?”
Donations must be made before midnight on December 8 to qualify toward the $1 Million Incentive Fund.
