This Thanksgiving we wanted to show our guests they matter and are deeply cherished. What better way to do so than through a hot and traditional Thanksgiving meal? With the help of gracious City officials, who volunteered their time, and the many donations from community supporters, we were able to serve over 90 Thanksgiving meals to our guests at Fort Collins Rescue Mission.
We are inspired daily by the men we serve. Despite the challenges life has thrown at them, navigating the cold-harsh Colorado weather, and the ever-present struggles of homelessness , they often express gratitude for the things they do have. Thanksgiving might be a day that reminds us to give thanks, but we are encouraged to give thanks EVERYDAY by our guests and Jesus Christ in whom we serve.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)
Thank you for your continued support in helping us change lives in the name of Christ. We wish you and your loved ones much happiness this holiday and may it be a season to rejoice!
