This Christmas season—because of caring supporters like you—Fort Collins Rescue Mission carried hope into a year that required resilience, creativity, and compassion.
After a fire in August disrupted operations at our Fort Collins location, this holiday season looked different than years past. Yet thanks to your support and the generosity of our community, the Mission continued to provide shelter, care, and meaningful connection for neighbors in need. Even amid unexpected challenges, our staff, volunteers, and partners rallied together reminding us all that:
No one should face the holidays alone.
A Christmas Banquet in Fort Collins
Following the kitchen fire at our Jefferson Street location, First Presbyterian Church graciously opened its doors—allowing us to transform their space into a warm, welcoming environment for individuals experiencing homelessness. Because of partners like you, this Christmas banquet became more than a meal. It became a place of dignity, comfort, and belonging during a season when loneliness can feel overwhelming.
Guests gathered around tables to share conversation, laughter, and a delicious meal—reminders that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

“It’s just great because when you’re homeless, a lot of times you’re getting food through different sources, and this is like a home cooked meal.”
John, Fort Collins Rescue Mission guest
See the Lives You Change
Celebrating the Season at Harvest Farm
At Harvest Farm in Wellington, your partnership made it possible for men in the New Life Program to experience moments of stability, joy, and connection throughout the Christmas season.
On the morning of December 19, program participants gathered at the Farm for a Christmas banquet—sharing a festive meal and time together. For many, traditions like this help restore a sense of normalcy that may have been missing for years, reinforcing the structure and community that are essential to recovery.
Later that afternoon, Harvest Farm residents headed to Chippers Lanes for a special Christmas outing. The evening was filled with bowling, laughter, and camaraderie. For men rebuilding their lives, “good, clean, sober fun” is more than recreation—it’s an important part of healing, connection, and learning how to live differently.
Moments like these happen because your support extends beyond meeting basic needs—creating space for joy, trust, and life together as men take meaningful steps forward in their recovery.
Meeting Challenges with Hope
This year required the Mission to think creatively. After services were disrupted by the fire, your generosity helped ensure that shelter, care, and meaningful connection could continue—sometimes in new places and new ways. Because of partners like you, the heart of the Mission never wavered: to meet people where they are, center dignity in every interaction, and create environments where hope can grow.
Between the Christmas celebrations at Fort Collins Rescue Mission and Harvest Farm, more than 200 guests and program participants were welcomed, served, and celebrated this season. Each meal, each shared laugh, and each quiet moment of connection reflected what your compassion makes possible.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
This Christmas was a reminder that even in a disrupted season, light can still shine brightly—especially when people like you walk alongside those who need hope most.
Thank you for being part of this Mission. Because of your support, Christmas at Fort Collins Rescue Mission was filled with warmth, dignity, and belonging.
From all of us at Fort Collins Rescue Mission and Harvest Farm, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
