Colorado Gives Day is a local effort where thousands of Coloradans just like you partner with nonprofits across our state to make a difference in our community.
To sweeten the deal, there’s a $1.4 Million Incentive Fund available this year to boost the value of every single donation.
Designate Your Donation
To Fort Collins Rescue Mission
To ensure your donation is used specifically to support Fort Collins Rescue Mission, select “Fort Collins Rescue Mission” from the “Designation” drop down field after you select an amount to give.
Doing this ensures that your gift is used locally at Fort Collins Rescue Mission. You can also select “Harvest Farm” as a designation.
Why Doesn’t Fort Collins Rescue Mission Have a Colorado Gives Page?
The Giving First Foundation hosts Colorado Gives Day and they verify each nonprofit organization by their 501c3 nonprofit status. Fort Collins Rescue Mission operates locally under the 501c3 of Denver Rescue Mission, so there is no unique 501c3 registration for Fort Collins Rescue Mission. As a result, funds donated to Fort Collins Rescue Mission have to be given through the Denver Rescue Mission profile and donation page, but designated to Fort Collins Rescue Mission.
By designating your gifts to Fort Collins Rescue Mission, you can ensure that we’ll use those funds locally to support homeless outreach services for people in need in Northern Colorado. We know how important it is to support your local outreaches, so we want to make sure you can let us know where you want to designate the funds.
Here’s How It Works:
- If a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1.6 Million Incentive Fund.
- At the completion of Colorado Gives Day, the Community First Foundation will determine each nonprofit’s proportionate share of the incentive fund by dividing the total amount each nonprofit raised by the total amount of money donated to all participating nonprofits. This amount is then multiplied by the total amount of dollars in the Incentive Fund.
So more donations for the Mission on Colorado Gives Day means more of the $1.6 Million Incentive Fund the Mission will receive.
