Happy Thanksgiving from Fort Collins Rescue Mission!
We were delighted to bring joy to those in need this holiday season at our annual Great Thanksgiving Banquet. Mission staff, along with several volunteers from the community, served more than 100 meals to men and women in need at the event.
The Great Thanksgiving Banquet provides much more than just a nourishing meal. It is an opportunity for family and fellowship. With the help of community volunteers and employees, Fort Collins Rescue Mission becomes a family to those most in need, especially during the holidays.
Guests received a traditional Thanksgiving meal with oven roasted turkey, green bean casserole, traditional stuffing, homemade cranberry sauce, dinner rolls and an assortment of pies from our friends at Ginger and Baker.
Before they left, each guest in attendance received a new pair of warm gloves for the winter season.
We want to extend a special thanks to our volunteers for this event, including:
Fort Collins Police Department Assistant Police Chief Tim Doran; Fort Collins Police Department Lieutenant Jerry Schiager; Kay and Frank Sherman, Human Bean Owners; Lauran and Ben Parsons, State Farm Insurance.
All these Thanksgiving services are only possible because of supporters like you. Thank you for helping us make this Thanksgiving extra special for our neighbors and friends who are experiencing homelessness.
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday.
