Colorado Gives Day is a local effort where thousands of Coloradans just like you partner with nonprofits across our state to make a difference in our community.
To sweeten the deal, there’s a $1.6 Million Incentive Fund available this year to boost the value of every single donation.
Here’s How It Works:
- If a nonprofit organization receives 10 percent of the total amount of money raised on Colorado Gives Day, that same nonprofit receives 10 percent of the $1.6 Million Incentive Fund.
- At the completion of Colorado Gives Day, the Community First Foundation will determine each nonprofit’s proportionate share of the incentive fund by dividing the total amount each nonprofit raised by the total amount of money donated to all participating nonprofits. This amount is then multiplied by the total amount of dollars in the Incentive Fund.
So more donations for the Mission on Colorado Gives Day means more of the $1.6 Million Incentive Fund the Mission will receive.
How Can I Participate Today?
Participating in Colorado Gives Day is easy! Simply visit Denver Rescue Mission’s profile on the Colorado Gives site to get started, and be sure to designate your gift toward Fort Collins Rescue Mission under the question “Direct your donation to a program?“
Donations must be made before midnight on December 7 to qualify for the $1.6 Million Incentive Fund.
Why Do Gifts Have to be Given Through Denver Rescue Mission’s Profile?
Fort Collins Rescue Mission operates under the same 501(c)(3) as Denver Rescue Mission. As a result, Community First Foundation cannot list Fort Collins Rescue Mission separately.
But, you can specifically designate your donation toward Fort Collins Rescue Mission on the Mission’s Colorado Gives donation page, under the field labeled “Direct your donation to a program?“
