At Fort Collins Rescue Mission, Thanksgiving marks a poignant yet heartwarming occasion where numerous guests gather for a festive feast. The season’s joy is tinged with a touch of melancholy, recognizing that for many attendees, the Mission staff, volunteers and fellow guests are their closest semblance of family.
With the chilling weather setting in, a comforting and substantial holiday meal becomes a source of gratitude for all, particularly our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
This year, we shared the warmth of Thanksgiving with 205 meals served in total.
“The Mission has helped me survive, and this meal is just a reminder of all that they have done for me. I am thankful for the staff and the volunteers and everything they do around here. This here is a safe place to be.”

A plate of turkey and stuffing can open doors for those in need, providing hope, healing and assistance at Fort Collins Rescue Mission.
Thank you for partnering with us. Happy Thanksgiving!
