Kevin is the President and CEO of UCHealth’s Northern Region, which recently awarded a community grant to support Fort Collins Rescue Mission and Harvest Farm.

How do UCHealth’s values align with the Mission’s values?

At UCHealth, we’re committed to improving the lives and the health of the communities we serve.

UCHealth and Fort Collins Rescue Mission may serve in different ways, but our values are so closely aligned that we often find ourselves picking up where the other leaves off. This is a partnership built on mutual respect and a shared commitment to lifting up those who need it most.

What inspired UCHealth to award the Mission a grant?

UCHealth and the Mission share a deeply rooted vision for what it means to care for people. Health isn’t just about medical care; it’s about meeting basic needs like housing and food. When someone is experiencing homelessness, food insecurity or addiction, it’s incredibly difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The Mission works tirelessly to meet foundational needs to help people move toward a happier, healthier life.

In what ways do you believe the UCHealth community grant will benefit the Mission?

The Mission already accomplishes so much with limited resources. I know this grant will have a powerful impact. It will specifically support the unique programming and the men served at Harvest Farm, a place where healing, growth and transformation happen every day. Harvest Farm offers a pathway to stability, hope and health. We’re honored to contribute to these life-changing efforts.

How would you encourage others to give back or get involved with the Mission?

Whether it’s time, resources or simply spreading the word, every bit helps. The Mission stretches every dollar and every volunteer hour to make a real impact. The dedicated staff and volunteers are truly unsung heroes, doing incredible work without seeking recognition. If you are looking for a way to make a difference in northern Colorado, supporting the Mission is a powerful place to start.
