Letter From Our CEO

One of my favorite worship songs is “Goodness of God.” Some of the lyrics include:
All my life you have been faithful
All my life you have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
This song is also how I would describe the past year of our ministry. This year has been difficult. We endured unwanted challenges, like a major fire at Fort Collins Rescue Mission. Even before the fire, on many winter nights we had to turn people away who wanted shelter from the storm and cold. We encountered facility challenges at Harvest Farm. As we went through the process for approval for our new homeless resolution center, we encountered strong opposition.
Yet, God was faithful as He has always been. Even in the hardest of times, God’s goodness and faithfulness was evident. As He has for years, He always provided and continues to provide.
One of the ways God does this is through you, our supporters, donors, and partners. God works through you to make our work possible. As you will read in this report, because of that work, many lives have changed for good. Many left homelessness for good and began and maintained sobriety and recovery. Many came to or moved forward in their faith.
As we look to the future, one thing we know is that God will be faithful, He will be good, and we believe He will provide as He has always done. Thank you for making our work possible to bring an end to homelessness, one life at a time!
Grace and peace,

Dennis Van Kampen
