Thanksgiving is a wonderful time at Fort Collins Rescue Mission, as hundreds of guests join us for a festive holiday meal. It’s a bittersweet time too, since many of our guests have no family or friends to join for the holiday. Mission staff, volunteers and other guests who are struggling are the closest thing many of our homeless neighbors have to family.
And as the weather turns colder, having a warm and hearty meal to celebrate the holidays is something any of us can be thankful for, but especially our guests who are experiencing homelessness.
In total, we served 100 Thanksgiving meals this year.
Of course, we are always thankful for faithful supporters like you, but our gratitude really stands out around the holidays, when so many people are struggling physically, emotionally and relationally. We hope you know just how truly you do change lives through your support of this important work.
A plate full of turkey and stuffing could open the door for someone in need to find hope, healing and help at Fort Collins Rescue Mission.
We couldn’t do this great work without you. Thank you so much for your partnership.
Happy Thanksgiving.
